Music
We want our children to be engaged and inspired by music, in order to develop both musical talent and a lifelong love of the subject. As they learn to express themselves through singing, playing, improvising, and composing, children will develop the self-confidence to share their skills, understanding, and creativity.
Our music offer provides various opportunities to learn about new instruments and musical elements, both as a class and individually.
We develop oracy skills as children are exposed to appropriate musical terms and are encouraged to use these when discussing musical pieces.
We celebrate music and singing through performance and give our children opportunities to share their skills with different audiences such as in class assemblies.
